Depression can suck.....

Ok, I seriously think my hometown is cursed right now.
In the past couple of months, we've lost 4 young people. Young as in 2 were in their early 20s and the other two were between 14-16 years old.
We lost Zach Zeigler and Jordan Houghton in a brutal car crash near the end of the class of 2008's last months. When I say brutal, I mean the caskets could not be opened because it was so bad.
We lost the 14 year old named Philip Davis to overdose. I still can't believe someone that young would even think about committing suicide with pills at that age.
Yesterday, at 2pm, we lost a young man named Matt Shelnutt. He was found in Fishers Landing in Clayton hanging. I don't understand why he would do something like this; he should know how much people care for him. It might have been drugs that made him do it, but I won't know for sure.
So, I just thought I'd share with you how messed up my hometown is right now.

Drama Club

Is there anyone here interested in joining the drama club? We have some people, but I think we'd be better if we had a few more. We meet next Friday @ 2 so if you are interested, come on by!

One of my favorites. I'm hooked on this song. It sounded amazing live, and I thought I'd share it with you all. Plus, I love Final Fantasy games. Enjoy!

What the hell?

Seriously, I always post 3 times a week, just like Robert says to. And yet, when I look at my pieces of work, I see no comments. There's 2 comments on one of my pieces, but everything else has nothing. What's the use of posting these if no one is going to read them and comment? I think it should be an assignment every week for people to comment at least twice a week on other blogs. You can't comment twice unless you commented everyones at least once. Let me know what you think, Robert Strong.

Poem

Here I am,
Take me as you will,
Standing strong, standing tall.

Here I am,
Flesh and bone,
Standing alone.

Here I am,
White and true,
Hair blowing freely.

Here I am,
Aging slowly,
Beauty fading away.

Here I am,
Dead in my grave,
Still standing tall.....

Our Song

"Far Away"

This time, This place
Misused, Mistakes
Too long, Too late
Who was I to make you wait
Just one chance
Just one breath
Just in case there's just one left
'Cause you know,
you know, you know

[CHORUS]
That I love you
I have loved you all along
And I miss you
Been far away for far too long
I keep dreaming you'll be with me
and you'll never go
Stop breathing if
I don't see you anymore

On my knees, I'll ask
Last chance for one last dance
'Cause with you, I'd withstand
All of hell to hold your hand
I'd give it all
I'd give for us
Give anything but I won't give up
'Cause you know,
you know, you know

[CHORUS]

So far away
Been far away for far too long
So far away
Been far away for far too long
But you know, you know, you know

I wanted
I wanted you to stay
'Cause I needed
I need to hear you say
That I love you
I have loved you all along
And I forgive you
For being away for far too long
So keep breathing
'Cause I'm not leaving you anymore
Believe it
Hold on to me and, never let me go
Keep breathing
'Cause I'm not leaving you anymore
Believe it
Hold on to me and, never let me go
Keep breathing
Hold on to me and, never let me go
Keep breathing
Hold on to me and, never let me go

"Far Away" by Nickelback is my boyfriends and my song. It fit perfectly at the time because it was close to summer, and I was going to be heading to my first year of college. He was worried that I was going to forget about him, and I told him to just always listen to this song, and he'll know deep within his heart that I will NEVER forget about him.

Another one of my favorite songs I thought I'd share. This band hooked up a couple summers ago over a show called Rockstar: Supernova. Lukas Rossi won this contest, so he became the lead singer of the band. He wrote this song, and if you watched the show like I did, he said that this song is about his mother. I related to my dad in a way, because we get in a lot of fights.
Unfortunately, this song has an edited part; he said, "you're god damn mind" but it silenced the word out.

Signs

Who is this boy sitting next to me?
This boy with blue eyes and brown hair....
I feel eyes on me as I write,
I turn, and he looks away.
Heat rushes to my cheeks,
my heart beats like a locomotive.
My palms begin to sweat,
I breathed a sigh through my lips.
What is this strange sensation I feel?
I feel warm and tingly,
my leg won't stop shaking under the desk.
My writing begins to get sloppy.
Clank! a pencil rolled my way.
This boy tapped my shoulder, and I jumped.
He asked for his pencil,
I bent down and picked it up.
He takes it from my hand and keeps writing.
I stole a glance at his face.
I saw red cheeks, and his writing looked sloppy,
his hand was shaking.
I continued to write,
then a piece of paper was slipped near my pad of paper.
I looked at it with curiousity.
I looked around as I opened it.
It read:
I can't help but like you.
I see you everywhere.
I would like for you to be mine.
Would you like to be my girl?
Below that was 2 boxes:
one said yes; the other said no.
I marked a box and handed it back.
He looked at it, and the bell rang.
I waited outside of the room.
He saw me, and had a huge smile.
I smiled back, and walked away.

Love poem

Love is in the air,
Couples are everywhere,
Men are treating their women with great care,
You see this happening anywhere.
Kissing underneath a tree,
Or even at the mall,
Some would just kiss wherever was free,
Any season, summer, winter, spring or fall.
Anniversaries are meant to be celebrated together,
But there are some couples who are seperated by miles,
But their love can still last forever,
And can stick together like floor tiles.
Ahh... yes, love is deffinately here.
Lets try to keep it, forever dear.

Emotions run wild!

Betsy was shaking so hard, she could hardly stand. The phone was pressed right against her ear. She could hear her boyfriend, Chad sounding curious.
"What's the matter, baby?" Chad asked, curiously.
"There's something I need to tell you, but I'm afraid of how you're going to take it and react," Betsy replied, tears forming in her eyes.
"You can tell me anything babe."
"Here goes. Two summers ago, I kissed Brett." Betsy revealed, tears now falling from her face.
There was a long pause on the line. Betsy shook harder.
"I gotta go," Chad replied.
Click!
Betsy fell to the ground.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The next day, Betsy was online talking to Summer. She was wearing a hoodie, hair down, and the hood was up.
crazybballstar20: it was a yr ago, and at least i told him u kno?
cheergirl23: yea i kno, all u did was kiss and he made out with Claire.
crazybballstar20: wat????
Betsy picked up her cell, and dialed Chad's number.
"Hello?" he answered angirly.
"We need to talk, it's important," Betsy said, bitterly.
Chad sighed and replied, " what about this time?"
"Did you kiss Claire?" Betsy asked, shaking.
"No! Who told you that?" Chad asked.
"Summer did. And you know she wouldn't lie to me," Betsy replied, raising her voice.
Long pause followed.
"Yes, I did," Chad replied.
Betsy cried hard. "How could you, Chad? You go and pull the shit you pulled last night on me, then you do the same thing to me. You don't see me breaking it off," Betsy sobbed.
"I'm sorry," Chad replied, sounding sad.
"You're lucky I love you so much or I'd end it now," Betsy shrieked.
"I know baby, I know. Look, I'm really sorry for making you so upset and I want to make it up to you."
"It better be something clever," Betsy replied, wiping the tears from her eyes.
"It will I promise. Love you," Chad replied.
"I love you too," Betsy replied.

This is a true story. I won't tell you who it happened to. If you want me to make this into a story, let me know.

9/3/08 Freewrite Exercise

The object that seemed to catch my attention to a memory was my dad's and stepmom's (stepmonster or the Bitch as I like to call her) water bed. And no, I did not catch them having sex, and if I did, that would have traumatized me for life!
Here's how it began: my only cat named Chi-chi was pregnant. One day, she gave birth to four little kittens underneath my dad's dresser. I was very young, so I was excited about it. After they were a few weeks old, my brother Andrew and I would play a game. We took one kitten from the litter and place the little one on the bed. The baby kitten would say, "MEW! MEW!" After a few "mews" Chi-chi crawled out from underneath the dresser, and would jump on the bed and grab the kitten by the scruff of the neck. What amazed me is as soon as Chi-chi had the kitten in her mouth, the kitten became quiet. When she had the kitten secure, she jumped down from the water bed, and crawled underneath the dresser again. It was a funny and cute sight to behold. I showed my father that, and he would laugh and laugh. That was one of my fondest memories.

"Your Guardian Angel"- The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus

This is one of my favorites. I sing this to my boyfriend all the time. Plus, I love the movie. It just shows that true love can be with someone you'd never thought you'd be with. That's what happened to my boyfriend and me. I'd never thought I'd be with him, but it'll be 2 years very soon.
So, enjoy the vid and the song. It's from my favorite band.

Summer

The smell of the river,
The sound of the waves,
You can sense it, right through your liver,
You can picture the river's lovely caves.
The sudden surges of work,
People slaving away to get a descent pay,
The clock is ticking, the boss is such a jerk,
You just want to get out, and run to the beach to lay.
The romance, the tans, the beach,
You can picture these through a lense,
But like a big, blood-sucking leech,
A bell rings, and you hear the scratching of pens.
Finals week...

Summer is definately at it's peak!
